The Committee for the First Annual Journey Fans Convention is Proud To Announce:
A Faithful Ones Convention
The First Annual Fans Convention will be held Thursday July 16, 1998, thru Sunday, July 19, 1998, in the City by the Bay.....San Francisco, California.
We have managed to pack a weekend full of fun and adventure. Read below for prices and what the trip includes.
The Convention Package Includes The Following:
Hotel Reservations at the newly remodeled Catheral Hill Hotel, located in the heart of the City of San Francisco, 1100 Van Ness Avenue.
Rooms are double occupancy. If you don't have someone to share a room with, arrangements will be made for assigning compatible persons to a room.
Check-in after 3:00p.m. Pacific Time.
A 'Get Settled Gathering' on Thursday evening, snacks and schedules of the weekends events, pick up your specially designed convention back stage pass, which will allow you to participate in the following:
A tour which will include some special places for Journey fans Which will include the following highlights:
A Tour of the City Of San Fransisco
Going over the Golden Gate Bridge playing the song we all love "Lights"
see The Fog City Diner
A Cruise of the Bay Area and Alcatrez Island
After the tour join the Planning Committee as we check out a trolley and go visit the Hard Rock Cafe (This is an option...the tour does not include what you order at the Hard Rock Cafe). There is lots to do in the area so it's a Friday Night open to you.
This is your Free day....Explore the city on your own or hookup with a new friend or two and see the things the tour didn't show you. Or get Ready for the nights fun. That evening comes together in the Banquet Room for a Journey Dinner Party.
This evening will include dinner, Journey music, and dancing. Oh yeah and the most fun The Journey Look-A-Like contest. Wear your tails, get out that keyboard, bring out those Afro's, shave your heads, and find that blue Jumpsuit. This is a fun filled Journey Night that we want all of you to join in and have fun.
We are set for our departure. Check out time is by 12:00pm Pacific Time.
Oh yes how could I forget, everyone that has joined us for the weekend will receive a Souvenir Goodie Bag containing memorabilia from our guys and things to remember the fun days we had.
Space is Limited
The Total Cost of this Package is $320.00 per person. The Travel Agent, Hotel Tour Company and Planning Committee worked out the following payment Schedule for those interested in attending.
First Payment due by October 23, 1997
$ 130.00 US funds
(This money will secure the group rate and blocked rooms at the Hotel and Deposit to hold the Customized Tour Package. This Payment Is Very Important if you are planning to attend).
Second Payment due by January 23, 1998
$ 130.00 US funds
(This will continue to pay for the Hotel, The Banquet and Tours).
Third Payment due by April 23, 1998
$60.00 US funds
(This will finish the payments to the Hotel and Tours).
This package DOES NOT include transportation to and from the city of San Francisco. Nor does it include transportation to and from the airport, train station or bus station, whichever you use.
Do to the fact we are all coming from different location throughout the country or world, it was impossible for the planning committee to include this in the package. If you are in need of a travel agent for reservations from your departing city you can contact Carol Perry at Fantasy Tour & Travel 1-800-782-0262 or (716) 549-2394 Fax (716) 549-2434. (She is a certified travel agent able to handle travel from any departing city).

NOTE: Please include a Self Address Stamped Envelope, Each time you send a payment Also include Neatly written or typed your full name, a screen name, your address, an email address if you have one and a phone number.
Also let me know who you are planning on sharing a room with someone, especially if you are sending separate checks, so I can keep you together when rooms are assigned.
When your check is received you will get a receipt by mail showing what you have paid and your balance. You will also receive a contract that will explain to you, your responsibilities while within the hotel.
For those that live in the San Francisco Area, another package has been setup for you. Please Email me for that package.
Note: All moneys will be used for the Hotel, Party and Tour. The Committee Planners are not making any profit from this venture. All the planning for this event has been done on a voluntary basis.
It was brought to may attention by the Travel Agent that people have been calling her to see if Journey will appear at the 1998 Fans Convention in San Francisco, CA.
As You were informed before THIS IS A FANS CONVENTION, Journey Fans meeting other Fans. This in no way shape or form has a connection to the band. Also the Travel Agent is only there to arrange your travel to the event if needed she has no idea what the scheduling is or if anyone will appear. That has been left up to myself and the Committee if you have questions e-mail one of us and stop calling the travel agent she knows nothing. She and the hotel have been instructed to only answer questions through me.
