Band Announcement regarding the delay of Arrival CD:

After much discussion, Journey decided to postpone the release of the new CD "ARRIVAL" for several reasons. First is our desire to deliver a product that is not lost in the year end hype that is generally the case with pre - Holiday season releases. Second is our tradition of releasing our new projects in the first of the year in order to tour and support the release uninterrupted by Holiday and Family concerns. We are as impatient as anyone to bring this new music to you, our "Faithful" fans. We appreciate your patience and hope this serves to clear up any misunderstanding or confusion. Here is an official announcement from Journey:

Greetings Journey Fans!
http://www.journeytheband.com

For those of you who been waiting for Journey’s "Arrival", it won’t be long now!

Today the band announced the release of their first two singles which will begin rocking on radio stations nationwide soon. The first single to be released will be "Higher Place" both the long and short versions.

Band members gave an inside tip telling fans to request the long version from the radio stations. Nevertheless, even we know the long version is not going to be long enough for those of us that have patiently awaited this album that is sure to take us back to the rock sound that only Journey is known for. Just listening to the singles, you can feel the energy that created Journey’s latest music masterpiece scheduled for release in early fall.

The second single "All the Way" will follow, setting the stage for Journey’s much anticipated tour. As die hard Journey fans all know, it doesn't matter what era you began listening, the rock just keeps getting better!

Click on the link to view the photo being released with the singles. Looking at this and listening to the new tunes, is sure to give you all a great mental picture of what great things are to come.

I'm back...and so is Journey. Their new album is tentatively set for release in September followed by a fall tour.

In March, the band released the following statement on the Official Journey Site where you can also find many photos taken in the recording studio.

We are having a great time in New York and progress is moving along at a nice pace. We recorded 16 songs and are moving into the over dub phase (about 12 songs will make the final cut). We expect to begin mixing on the 17th of April. We are very excited about this project and feel it's our best work in a long time. Excited yet? What if we said a good analogy for this project would be a 2000 version of Escape :) We are still on track for a summer release followed up by a fall tour.

Stay tuned, more pictures to come real soon!

-- Jonathan, Ross, Deen, Steve and Neal

Jonathan's next new age CD titled 'Namaste' (Higher Octave) could be released as early as this July, but no official date set.
